1. The Lioness
Something unbelievable happened to a 12-year-old Ethiopian girl! Four men kidnapped her and held captive for a week. The men bet her and forced her to marry them. But, as soon as the police tracked them down, they took the child and began to flee. Right when they were about to escape three lions attacked the men!
Since the little girl was crying profusely, the lions did not harm her. Instead, they thought it was a cub and guarded her until the police came. The girl was safe, and the kidnappers were caught.
2. Mila, the whale
It is not often that we see a mammal reacting strangely, but when they do, there is certainly a reason behind it!
When Yang Yun entered a diving competition in a tank full of whales and extremely cold water, she experienced sudden cramps in her leg and began to drown at a depth of 20 feet. Immediately, Mila the Beluga whale rushed to her rescue and pushed her upwards to the surface of the water. The Diver would have drowned had it not been for the whale!
3. The Humpback whale
Nan Hauser, a marine biologist, was researching along the Pacific ocean when something strange happened. She noticed that a Humpback whale came very close to her and was trying to nudge her and put her under its pectoral fin. This went on for more than 10 minutes, she did not understand this behavior of the animal and remained helpless.
A couple of minutes underwater she noticed that a tiger shark was lurking nearby and realized that perhaps, this could have caused such behavioral changes in the animal. The whale was showcasing its altruistic abilities by protecting the diver from the shark.
Such a characteristic is often shown by the mammal when one of its own kind is in danger.
4. The Mighty Elephant
Animals are loyal, and this goes true even for baby elephants.
A baby elephant in Thailand mistook his master’s shouts as a cry for help and rushed to save him into the river. Darrick Thomson, on the contrary, was only trying to attract the animal to demonstrate their bond. The elephant immediately lifted Darrick with its trunk and tried to push it ashore.
5. Dear Rabbit
Mr. Steggal was a diabetic and fell unconscious on the sofa while watching tv with his wife. Mrs. Steggal assumed that her husband was asleep and did not pay much attention. Suddenly, their pet rabbit, Dory jumped onto him and started tapping on his chest. Mrs. Steggal noticed that her husband did not react even then and called the ambulance immediately.
This strange behavior exhibited by their pet saved Mr. Steggal from a coma.
6. Khan the Dog vs. Snake
Khan, a Doberman saved his a friend, Charollete from a vicious snake. When Khan and his friend were playing in the garden, the dog saw a snake next to them. Initially, the dog tried to push the girl away, but when that wasn’t working out, he tried pushing her a meter away.
The snake bit khan but, the little girl’s mom was in the house and immediately called the vet.
Both Khan and Charollete were safe and sound.
7. Goat the Pet
When little Abigail received a goat as her birthday present, she was thrilled and named the animal, Speedy. One fine day when everyone was asleep, Speedy smelt fire and jumped on Abigail. She too woke up in shock only to realize that the house was on fire. The girl then awoke her parents, who discovered that their garage was burning down.
The house did get burnt severely, but fortunately, the family made it out safely all thanks to Speedy and its quick response!
8. Bear and the Lion
When Robert Biggs, a professional hiker was trekking in California. He caught the sight of a mother bear and her child. While he was watching them, a mountain lion jumped onto him from behind! The lion could not reach his face because of his backpack but was overpowering Robert.
The mother bear immediately went for the lion and drove it away! Biggs sustained minor injuries but returned safely.
9. Pig the Fire Alarm
The Farler family’s pet pig usually awoke them in the morning. One day, it was unusually hurtling about in the house quite early in the morning and seemed uneasy. The pig had smelled the smoke much before the entire family knew about it. And, as for Ina Farler and her granddaughters, they were saved from the fire that would eventually go on to burn the house down.
10. Tsunami Elephant
In 2004, during one of the most disastrous tsunamis in Thailand, Amber Owen was on vacation. One morning she was riding Ning Nong, an elephant. Things seemed fine at first, but as soon as a big wave was approached the shore, Ning Nong appeared to go away from the sea. The elephant then ran as far as it could and dropped the girl to a safe place, where he could reunite with her family, saving her life!
11. A Gorilla’s Instinct
A little boy once fell into a Gorilla enclosure in the Brookfield Zoo. One of the gorillas carried him and took him aside to a safe place. The zookeepers then went inside the enclosure to get the child out; he was safe and sound.
12. Cat and the Box
Sometimes people can be coldblooded. In an incident in Russia, a newborn baby was left in a box below a stairwell. A stray cat stood next to it continued meowing until someone paid attention. The neighbors immediately ran for help, thanks to the cat or the baby would have been frozen.
13. Heroic Dolphins
A British swimmer, Adam Walker, was in the middle of his 8-hour marathon when he saw a white shark coming towards him. Just as he thought that his 6th swim was going to be the last one of his life, a group of Dolphins surrounded him for the next hour.
Walker safely completed his swim, and the dolphins kept their reputation of saving lives when they sensed danger.
14. The Parrot
It is true that some parrots can mimic humans but rarely do we see it happening. In this case, however, Hanna a little child was choking on her food, and her mother had just left the dining area.
Their pet parrot then screamed, “Mama, baby!” loudly and the mother came rushing into the room. Hanna received first aid immediately as her condition was already critical. Willie, the parrot, was then awarded by the Red Cross Society.
15. 9/11 Heroes
US history will never forget the contribution made by dogs during the 9/11 rescue mission. About a 100 dogs helped rescue people from under the debris, due to their exceptional sense of smell. The animals worked day and night in a hazardous location looking for survivors and also comforting them.
